Introduction
Sri. G. Chakrapani from Tirupati was initiated into music by his father Sri G.Ganesh and Guru Sri P. Devarajulu. He was nurtured under the vibrant tutelage of great gurus Vidwan Sri. Pudukottai R. Ramanathan and Smt. Chella Prabhavati. He has completed M.A in music, Sangeetha Praveena (Violin) and Diploma in Vocal and Violin. He was awarded Annam Babu Merit Award (Instrumental, 1998) in S. V. College of Music and Dance, Tirupati.
Experience
Being a passionate teacher, he emphasizes on vocal training even for violin students as this inhibits a better and sound understanding of music. He has been teaching at Saraswati Kala Kendra, Vellore since 1997. He is the asthana vidwan at Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, Kanchipuram. His performances have been recognized at Singapore, Kuwait, Kenya, Uganda, Canada, Bangladesh, Mauritius, Malaysia, Dubai, Turkmenistan and many other countries around the globe. He has been working as a Violin accompanist in the prestigious Annamacharya Project of Thirumala Tirupati since 2002. He has also accompanied some of the legendry musicians such as Smt. C. Saroja and Smt. C. Lalitha (Bombay Sisters), Dr.Prapancham Sitaraman, Malladi Brothers, Dr.Jayapradha Ramamurthy and Dr.Dwaram Lakshmi. Apart from all the reputations and recognitions in his artistic career, he is an excellent teacher with friendly and amicable skills that positively influences the children.
